ST. PAUL – With a new bankruptcy law about to make it tougher to wipe the ledger clean, Minnesotans are rushing to file for bankruptcy protection, attorneys say.
The bill signed into law on April 20 will be the most sweeping overhaul of the U.S. bankruptcy code since 1978 when it goes into effect on Oct. 17.
