Bank accounts discovery

I received a judgment order for credit card debt, with a Discovery Questionaire enclosed, and a letter saying to complete questions and return to lawyer or under Court Rules
lawyer could compel attendance to answer questions.
My question is should I close my bank accounts, or should I give names of my banks, and they may freeze accounts.
I only have a small amount of money in accounts, and I plan to file Bankruptcy because of other debts, within the next several weeks.

Never, never, never close your bank accounts!  Once you file bankruptcy it would be very difficult to open a 'new' checking account.

Simply lower your checking account balance to a minimum until you file. Use Money Orders to pay the bills if you have to.  This way, a creditor will not come after your bank account's should you only have 20-50 dollars in them.  Kapeesh?  ;)

Once you file...your checking account will 'untouchable'!

The other place creditor's will come after you is the garnishment of wages from your paycheck.  So hurry up and file!  Good luck!  :)
