Chapter 13/rebuilding credit

    Hi,

    I recently filed for Chapter 13 in April 2003.  I am on a 5 year payment plan.

    I am eager to start rebuilding my credit, but am having a problem finding a lender.  Does anyone know of any banks that will offer a credit card (secured is fine) with someone that has an open Chapter 13?  Does such a place exist or am I stuck until my discharge in 2008?  YIKES!

    I've heard of First Premier, Household and Centennial, but unfortunately, I had 2 of those cards when I filed so I'm sure I'm not on their best customer list.

    Any help I can get would be GREAT.

    Do you own a home? If you already own a home, why do you need to rebuild your credit?
