Need help asap.. please!

    i am going to file full bankruptcy (i think thats called
    chapter 13) i am currently engaged. if i get remarried
    before i file bankruptcy can they attach my new husbands property?

    i am not listed on any of his property. i dont want my new hubby to suffer because of my debt.

    Mary Ellen,

    I would think that they could attach your new husbands property if you file after you get married.  You really need to discuss this with your attorney.  Ask him the exact same question you asked here.

    Why not file before?  Again ask your attorney what would be best way to go about filing.  Good luck!
